Do I Need an Amazon Professional Seller Account to Use AccelerList?

Yes.

Only the Amazon Professional Seller Account allows us to connect to your Seller Central account to list the products for you so this type of account is needed.

But I don't want to spend the $40/month for the professional account?

The $40/mo fee charged by Amazon is a "drop in the bucket" compared to the profits you can realize by listing and selling products on Amazon. Also, this fee is taken off the top of your monthly profits so you really should never be "debited" $40 from your connected bank account.
